Theosophy
in Seven Statements
Theosophy is Spiritual Wisdom,
(theos, God, sophia, Wisdom) which means the inner core in all cultures
and spiritual traditions. In previous ages it was handed down secretly,
but today it is accessible for all interested.
Theosophy is Psychology, which
means insight into consciousness and the spiritual nature of man.
As we gain deeper understanding about our psyche, mind and higher
spiritual possibilities we can begin a transformation of our life
so it gets more depth, meaning and joy.
Theosophy is Philosophy, which
means a metaphysical oriented and holistiv view of life that demonstrates
the connection between religion and science and between eastern
and western traditions. It is a philosophy of life that unites faith
and knowledge.
Theosophy is Spiritual Science,
which means knowledge based upon observations made possible by meditative
experiences and the systematical use of trained higher sense perception,
also known as Extra Sensory Perception (ESP).
Theosophy is an Ethical outlook on Life,
that concerns all aspects of existence and put social and humanitarian
activities into a broader perspective. It gives us new and deeper
values and is practised in daily life through compassion and goodwill.
Theosophy is a Universal view of Life,
and therefore independent of religious, political and social organisations.
It implies reverence towards all sentient beings as well as the
search of each individual.
Theosophy is a Dynamic Teaching,
which is based upon the many spiritual teachers that have inspired
and guided people throughout the ages. In modern times the theosophical
pioneers have given a coherent and multidimensional presentation
of these insights, and they are offered to all interested.
